Slovenia is a small, yet remarkably beautiful and diverse country in the heart of Europe, where the Alps, the Adriatic Sea, the Pannonian Plain, and the Karst all meet in one place. The country is known for its cleanliness, order, and deep connection with nature – wherever you turn, you see forests, mountains, rivers, and lakes.

Slovenians are hardworking, friendly, and peaceful people who value simplicity, family, and sincere human relationships. We enjoy spending time outdoors – in the garden, in the hills, or simply surrounded by nature – where we find inner peace and balance. It’s part of our culture to help our neighbors and keep friendly relations – that’s why visitors quickly feel at home here. Besides its natural beauty, Slovenia also offers an exceptional quality of life. Food is fresh and local, often from home gardens, and the cuisine is a wonderful blend of Alpine, Mediterranean, and Pannonian influences. Excellent Slovenian wines are another treasure that delights every guest.

From our house, you have an ideal starting point for exploring everything Slovenia has to offer. Within about 25 minutes, you can reach the Krvavec ski resort, and in just over an hour, the seaside or one of the famous thermal spas of Prekmurje. Also close by are Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, the Postojna Cave, and the famous Lipica Stud Farm with its white Lipizzaner horses, as well as many castles and wine-growing regions.

Among Slovenia’s natural jewels, Lake Bled stands out as one of the most romantic and visited places – with its picturesque church on the island and the castle overlooking the lake. It’s the true heart of Gorenjska, beautiful in every season. Slovenia truly is a treasure chest of natural and cultural beauty – safe, peaceful, and full of charm. Life here means finding balance between modern living and nature, work and rest. It’s a place where each day can begin with a mountain view and end with a glass of good wine. And that’s why so many visitors, once they’ve experienced Slovenia and its people, say: “I could live here.”
